| It's all about Kermit | |
|
Kermit was
born in 1968 and was shipped from Germany to sunny California where he
was used commercially as a Micro Bus until being imported into the UK
in 1982. His original VW colour was "Coffee & Cream". In 2003 he was given a colour change to an old Vauxhall Green and treated to a set of Empi 5 Wheels and a new full camping interior by Calypso Campers in Salisbury. |

I acquired Kermit in December 2006 and set about removing all of the interior in preparation for his transformation into the "Party Bus". Courtney Bodyworks in Bournemouth were commissioned to sort out all of the bodywork and re-spray him in Volkswagen "Spanish Green". All new genuine window rubbers were fitted and the underneath was sealed. Once home in Blandford I fitted a new floor, interior panels from JR & CP Wood, seats from a Honda Accord, tarted up the engine and added lots of big boys toys including a Sony PS2, DVD player, flip-down LCD monitor, 6 speaker audio, active subwoofer, plasma plates, several LED's, strobes and under-body / engine bay green strip lighting system. To finish things off the rear cushions and speaker box were re-upholstered by "Go with the Flow" in Sandford. |
