This is our lovely 'Mambo' and she is a 1979 Type 2 bay, Danbury conversion, she sleeps 4 and has a 1600 engine.

We bought her in spring 2007, and after breaking down continuously, a friendly passing motorist gave me Dave's number and we have never looked back!

Doctor Dave has given her a brand new engine, clutch, front panel and windscreen, electronic ignition, the brakes renewed and 4 new wheels and tyres. She has also had all the bad welding put right.

As you can see from the photo, she is now in need of some cosmetic 'surgery' to her panels, which will include 2 new front doors, along with some original front seats hopefully, a new roof and interior, and (especially a rock and roll bed as it is not much fun trying to remember which piece of wood fits where after a glass of wine!)

She will eventually be all baby blue and white and if i get my way (Ali) a lovely big yellow and white daisy will adorn her spare wheelcover! sssshhhh!! don't tell Steve or Dave!!

We have had many wonderful trips away in her, and I use her every day so she really is a 'work horse'.
